"Lev Ha'Ir" refers to the historical center of Tel Aviv – roughly the area including Rothschild Boulevard, Habima Square, Dizengoff Street, and Ben-Yehuda. This is a very vibrant area day and night, featuring cultural attractions (Habima Theater, Charles Bronfman Auditorium), historical Bauhaus architecture (the "White City"), as well as entertainment and shopping centers. The population is diverse: students, artists, young high-tech workers, and also quite a few older adults who have lived their whole lives in the area. Rothschild Boulevard has become a symbol of nightlife and cafe culture. Whoever lives in the heart of the city will enjoy living right "in the center of things" – but you have to love the fast pace.
