The Shapira neighborhood is located south of Neve Sha'anan, gradually becoming the next "awakening neighborhood". It is still home to many disadvantaged populations, but more and more young Israelis are moving there due to low rent and community spirit. Shapira is a mixed and colorful neighborhood with a village-in-a-city atmosphere. As prices rise elsewhere, Shapira gains popularity, and you can see small cafes and new vintage stores opening. Shapira may be the future of alternative art in South Tel Aviv.
