A neighborhood in South Tel Aviv (bordering Jaffa), formerly known as "Tel Kabir". Neve Ofer was founded in the 50s–60s to house immigrants from North Africa and Asia. In recent years the municipality initiated renewal projects – a few new towers were built on the outskirts of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is adjacent to South Park (Begin Park), which is a big advantage. The "vibe": still an urban periphery neighborhood – calm, with lots of open spaces, but lacking leisure and entertainment infrastructure. Residents hope the momentum will continue.
